Candy Crushed: Digital Games Market Reaches $1.1B

This July, revenue from digital games ticked up 5.4% year over year, and the industry now tops out at $1.1B in the US, mostly thanks to mobile, says an analytic report from SuperData (via Gamasutra). The US mobile market specifically has jumped a massive 32 percent in revenue over the same period in 2012, led by Candy Crush, which is now making over $438,000 a day for its overlord, King.
